What you need
- Paper
- Pens
- An envelope or small box
- A padlock or combination lock (optional)
Setup
- Write 3 to 5 linked clues, ciphers, or riddles
- Hide the final clue somewhere in the house
- Seal everything into the envelope for the solver
Play prompts
- Can you crack the first cipher without hints?
- Can you find where the final clue leads?
- Can you solve the whole envelope in under 15 minutes?
Ways to change it up
- Add a hidden prize at the end
- Make a themed envelope — spy, pirate, or mystery
- Time the solver and keep a leaderboard
